In this blog, we will do a day tour in Antipolo, the Capital of the Province of Rizal. Also known as the Pilgrimage Capital of the Philippines. It is a 2 hour drive east of Manila.

Pinto Art Museum

Situated at the foot of Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges, Antipolo is famed for panoramic view of Manila’s Skyline. With this we’ve tried Yellow Lantern Café for brunch. An open air restaurant that serves continental comfort food with a view of Metro Manila.

We’ve tried their Baby Back Ribs and Grilled Salmon.

After lunch, we went to checked Pinto Art Museum. In recent years, this museum gained popularity especially with younger people because of its instagrammable structures.

Their famous Mediterranean inspired architecture is surrounded by teeming plant life.

These structures contain the art collection of Dr. Joven Cuanang.  The said collection is from contemporary Filipino artists.

Here are some of the artwork in Pinto Art Museum.

If you are looking for an adventure near Antipolo, you should check Tinipak River and Mt. Batolusong,

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT ANTIPOLO

The best time to visit Antipolo is during dry season. This is from December to May. I recommend scheduling your trip around December to mid-March.

Since Antipolo is the Pilgrimage Capital of the Philippines, it gets busy during Holy week and the whole month of May.

Lastly, Antipolo is open all year round and pretty accessible from Manila. Expect it to be crowded especially during weekends.
