Must See Beaches In Batangas, Philippines

Batangas is a province south of Manila. A popular tourist destination that is known for its beaches, Due to its proximity to Manila, Batangas became the perfect option for a beach getaway over the weekend. Sharing to you the top beaches in Batangas (In no particular order):

  1. Nasugbu, Batangas

Nasugbu, Batangas - located approximately 100km south west of Manila, it is the nearest beach on the list. This town has several coves, beaches and known resorts. Beaches in this area has creamy and coarse sand.

Canyon Cove in Nasugbu, Batangas

Most beaches in Nasugbu are child-friendly because beaches gradually increase in depth. Also, beaches are in coves, this greatly minimize tide and water current.

Recommendation: Canyon Cove has the largest pool in Batangas. The resort also offer variety of water activities. Note that this resort gets too crowded especially during peak season. If you want to relax and have extra budget, better go with resorts like Pico De Loro or Club Punta Fuego.

Tip: Looking for something secluded? There’s a beach house that you can rent in Tali Beach. The beach house has a pool and its own beach. Also, the area is ideal for snorkeling. Check them out in FB: @talibeachfront

 

2. Laiya Beach

Laiya is a Barangay in San Juan, Batangas on the southeast part of Batangas province. A 3-4 hour drive from Manila. There are numerous resorts within the stretch of Laiya Beach which you can choose from.

Laiya Beach has creamy and coarse sand.

 The downside of this beach is that it is not child-friendly because it has a strong water current and a sudden depth near the shore. Also, water here is murky and not ideal for snorkeling.

Recommendation: Laiya beach is ideal for barkada boding or company outing.

Tip: There are other beaches hidden in San Juan, Batangas. If you want a secluded beach with amazing marine life, try the beach near Casa Amara.

3. Anilao, Batangas

Anilao, Batangas - A world class dive site that is pretty close to Manila. It is located in Mabini Peninsula. Most beaches here has rocky shore and grey to brown sand. Not the best compared to other beaches in Batangas but in terms of marine life, this one is on top.

Beaches in Anilao, Batangas are not child-friendly because water depth changes abruptly and water current is strong in this area.

Recommendation: Anilao is ideal for scuba diving, Freediving and snorkeling.
