The Shaburi and Kintan Buffet are two franchises in Japan that is operating in one roof here in Philippines. Shaburi is a Shabu Shabu restaurant while Kintan specializes in Yakiniku. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat Japanese hotpot or BBQ. Their branch is located at the “Top of the Glo”.
In this buffet experience, we will focus on Shaburi Buffet. What is unique about Shaburi compared to other shabu shabu restaurant is the personalized concept. Instead of a shared pot, Shaburi will provide each with its own hot pot. This will allows you to create your own hot pot.
The restaurant is divided into two parts: on one side they have tables dedicated for Shaburi and the other side is for Kintan. The middle part is the central buffet.
For the Shabu Shabu Buffet, the first step is to choose your course. Tried their Regular Shabu for this experience. This includes, low fat pork, pork belly, tasty beef, tender chicken, pork dumplings, chicken ball and 4 types of udon.
I skipped the dumplings and the udons but ordered several sets of the meat strips.
Next is the soup, Shaburi has six soups namely: original Konbu, Sukiyaki, Soy Milk Miso, Chicken Collagen Paitan, Hot Miso and Tonkotsu. But the one I’ve tried was Tom Yum Soup. This was only available for a limited period.
Once your course and soup are already in place, you can now start to create your own hotpot. The central buffet has wide selection of hotpot toppings, Japanese dishes, sauces and more.
Shaburi and Kintan Buffet also has a few selection of desserts.
Recommendations: The rates are much cheaper during weekday lunch. If you have a budget, you should try their Shaburi Wagyu and Special Wagyu courses.
Tip: For the coffee drinkers, there’s an unlimited UCC Coffee in Shaburi and Kintan Buffet.
