A new restaurant worth considering during your visit to Tagaytay is My Country House Tagaytay. Situated near Farmer's Table, which also falls under the same umbrella of Raintree Hospitality Group and has been welcoming guests since March of 2023.
A rest house converted into a restaurant that has an alfresco dining area, allowing guests to enjoy their meals while immersed in the beauty of a lush garden, offering a stunning 180-degree view. My Country House Tagaytay also features a charming mini pond with turtles on one side of the dining area.
My Country House Tagaytay also has a dedicated section for freshly baked breads, delectable cakes and tempting pastries.
Then, there’s an elegant bar located near the pastry section.
The high end ambiance of My Country House Tagaytay perfectly complements their culinary offerings, which showcase a family-style Heritage Classic Cuisine.
To kickstart our My Country House Tagaytay experience, we’ve ordered the following dishes:
The Salmon Gravlax In Three is an appetizer that showcases three different salmon preparations, accompanied by a serving of sourdough crisps placed in the center.
Burrata and Beets has a generous portion of burrata cheese, arranged in a circular fashion alongside thinly sliced beets, tomatoes, and crushed pistachios.
My Country Larder presents a charcuterie board filled with an assortment of small, enticing portions of meats, cheeses, jams, and more.
The Roasted Bone Marrow dish features three generous halves of bone, perfectly roasted. Accompanied by a sweet and spicy red pepper relish, adding a delightful kick to each bite.
Following the appetizers, we proceeded to savor the main courses. We tried two pasta dishes:
The Truffled Mushroom & Cheese Cappelletti is a spinach mushroom dumplings with pecorino cheese. The delicate foam on top adds elegance to the presentation of this dish.
Despite not noticing the lobster meat, the Saffron Lobster Pappardelle still captivated our taste buds with its remarkable flavor.
For the grill option, we ordered Pacific Scallops, Tiger Prawns, Salmon and Calamari Brochettes. It includes 3 skewers loaded with chunks of various seafood delights.
In the Family Style section, we’ve sampled several dishes as well.
Country Chicken Relleno is a half-chicken stuffed with meat and spices.
Crispy Whole Pork Knuckle Confit is My Country House Tagaytay’s version of the Crispy Pata.
We also tried My Country House Tagaytay specialty, the Sunday Puchero. I’m not a fan of puchero, but we were surprised by how delicious the Sunday Puchero turned out to be.
For Steaks and Chops option, we tried their ½ KG U.S. Angus Ribeye. This includes roasted garlic and tomatoes with a choice for 2 sides and 2 sauces.
We also ordered both their Paella: Paella Negra,
and Paella Saffron Seafood
To wrap our wonderful My Country House experience, we indulged in a delightful selection of desserts.
Dark Chocolate Soufflé,
A platter of Fresh Fruits with gold flakes.
And a slice of Buko Pandan Sansrival.
From the picturesque ambiance, appetizing Heritage Classic Cuisine, and a top-notch service made our My Country House Tagaytay a memorable dining experience. With this, My Country House Tagaytay is a must-visit restaurant for anyone seeking an unforgettable gastronomic adventure in Tagaytay.
