UCC is a coffee shop which originated in Japan. Its inception dates back to 1933, and it now has a global presence, operating over 20 countries. UCC has numerous branch across the country, categorized into concepts like Café, Mentore and Clockwork, to name a few. The branch in Ayala Solenad, Nuvali is UCC Clockwork, which is one of our go-to coffee shop in this area.

Inside, while the dining area is spacious, it has limited number of dining tables. It also features bar counter, ideal for those working with laptops. UCC Clockwork also has several tables outside.

Although UCC is known for quality coffee, they also serve Japanese-inspired and fusion dishes, along with cakes and pastries. Note: Around July –August 2024 UCC Clockwork updated their menu.

We tried the Chicken Katsu Parmigiana, served with rice and buttered veggies on the side.

Beef and Tendon Caldereta Omurice, a fusion of Filipino and Japanese food and one of the recommended dishes at UCC Clockwork.

Moving to their specialty, which is coffee. UCC Clockwork offers a wide range of coffee drinks. While the popular choice is the Kori Kohi, my favorite is Iced Sumiyaki.

Here’s a look at Iced Spanish Latte.

UCC Clockwork also offers non-coffee based drinks. Tried the Lychee Sakura under the refresher option.

This is the Zesty Carrot, another recommended drink under cold-pressed juice option.

For dessert, we tried an order of Mixed Berries Roll Crepe.

UCC Clockwork, or UCC branches in general, tend to be slightly on the expensive side. However, I highly recommend it if you’re looking for quality coffee or meals.

Recommendations: Try the Iced Sumiyaki but keep in mind that UCC Coffee has a strong, bold taste. It might not suit those who prefer sweeter or lighter coffee.

Tip: UCC Clockwork has limited seating capacity, if you want to dine inside, schedule your visit during off-peak.
