Manam Comfort Filipino is a local restaurant known for serving comfort Filipino food. Part of The Moment Group, together with Ooma, Din Tai Fung, 8cuts Burger and Mo’ Cookies, to name a few. Manam offers classic Filipino favorites prepared in the traditional way, as well as selected dishes with a modern twist. It’s a popular restaurant for both locals and tourist alike.

In this food blog, we will cover their Nuvali branch, strategically located in the activity center of Solenad Malls.

For this experience, we ordered some of their best-sellers and Filipino favorites. Starting with Caramelized Patis Wings from the “Pica-pica” selection. While this is not a traditional Filipino dish, it’s a good take on chicken wings that I recommend trying.

Next, we ordered 3 dishes under “Ensalada at Gulay” (veggies) option. First was a crowd favorite Gising-Gising.

We had Laing, a must-try dish made from taro leaves, cooked in coconut milk with chili.

We also ordered Pinakbet, a traditional Ilocano vegetable dish.

For mains, we went with two of their best-sellers. First was the House Crispy Sisig, which is also my personal favorite in Manam.

The second was Sinigang na Beef Short Rib and Watermelon, a unique take on the classic sinigang. While its good, I still prefer the traditional tamarind-based version.

From the seafood selection, I recommend the Spicy Pusit En Su Tinta, Manam’s take on Adobong Pusit.

Another best-seller of Manam Comfort Filipino is the Crispy Pancit Palabok. Served as a tower of crunchy glass noodles with the palabok sauce poured over at the table, adding to the experience. While we had this for lunch, the Crispy Pancit Palabok is a great choice for merienda.

To complete the Manam Comfort Filipino experience, we got several dishes in the “Minatamis, Kakanin and Inumin” (dessert) selection. We treid the Turon of Mango and Kesong Puti with Ice Cream, a unique twist on Turon.

We also had the Calamansi Tart.

Although Manam is known for its “Pampalamigs” (local drinks), especially the Ube Sago shake, I went with their free flowing classic ice tea.

If you are craving for Filipino cuisine, I definitely recommend Manam Comfort Filipino. One of our go-to restaurant for Filipino dishes because of its high quality dishes, reasonable pricing and generous serving sizes, which is ideal for big groups.

Recommendations: House Crispy Sisig, Gising-gising and Crispy Pancit Palabok.
