The Birds of Paradise is a gelato shop in Singapore known for serving unique gelato flavors made with the finest ingredients. The concept is inspired by botanical flavors of nature, using only natural ingredients like fruits, flowers, pods, herbs and spices.

Birds of Paradise in Beach Road

Birds of Paradise has six boutiques around Singapore. The one we visited was located along Beach Road, just a few steps away from The Coconut Club. In line with its branding, the interior of the branch is organic and minimalist.

During our visit, they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from. Some of the unique ones are White Chrysanthemum, Strawberry Basil, Sea Salt Hojicha, Earl Grey & Lemongrass, Peach & Rose Sorbet, to name a few.

For this experience, we opted for a double cup and sampled the Dark Chocolate Sorbet and Macadamia Butterfly Pea.

As a chocolate lover, my pick was obvious. I really enjoyed their version of dark chocolate; it had the right amount of bittersweet cacao flavor. The second flavor was Macadamia Butterfly Pea. We chose this because of its color. It had a nutty taste and creamier texture compared to the dark chocolate.

For a gelato, Birds of Paradise is a little bit expensive, but it offers a unique botanical flavors worth trying when in Singapore.

Recommendation: This will depend on your palette but the good this is that Birds of Paradise has a wide variety of natural flavors.
