The Coconut Club is a local restaurant under the umbrella of The Lo & Behold Group, specializing in Lemak dishes. What makes The Coconut Club unique is that they use their own blend of White Sutera, or Coconut Milk. To maintain the quality, they partnered with specific local producers who are masters of their craft.

The Coconut Club in Beach Road

Currently, The Coconut Club has three branches around Singapore, with flagship branch located along Beach Road. Their flagship branch is a two-storey restaurant with tropical vibe setup. The first floor, or the communal space, is dedicated for walk-ins. While second floor is for reservations only. The Coconut Club also features few tables along the walkway.

We began our The Coconut Club experience with drinks to cool down. We ordered the Coconut Shake, which is all about coconut. Made from coconut water, coconut milk, coconut ice cream and coconut meat. This one is quite refreshing.

The other drink we tried was the Coconut Cold Brew, a signature drink perfect for energizing your mornings.

Transitioning to the main dish, we ordered two of The Coconut Club’s signature nasi lemak dishes. These includes the standard items to complete the Nasi Lemak experience: rice, egg, anchovies, cucumber, peanuts and their sambal sauce.

First dish was the Signature Ayam Goreng Berempah. Served with a huge portion of chicken thigh, topped with crispy rempah crumbs.

The other one was Beef Rendang. The Coconut Club uses New Zealand beef shin for this dish.

To summarize our experience, both the Nasi Lemak dishes we ordered were delicious, though I preferred the Beef Rendang more because I enjoy dishes with sauce. As for the drinks, I liked the Cococnut Shake because it is pretty refreshing and perfect for the Singapore’s hot climate.

The reason we tried The Coconut Club, is because it was highly recommended by our Singaporean friends. While it is on the pricier side of the tier and may not ideal for budget travel, The Coconut Club serves a high-quality dishes with generous portions. If you’re craving for all things Lemak when in Singapore, you should definitely give The Coconut Club a try.

Recommendation: The Signature Nasi Lemak.

Tips: To avoid queuing, schedule your visit early than the usual or during off peak hours.
