From Nishiki Market, our next destination was Kyoto Imperial Palace. We walked via Teramachi Street. The northern section of Teramachi Street is quite relaxed. Here, you’ll find numerous traditional shops and art galleries.
Along the way, we stumbled upon Drip & Drop Coffee Supply. A specialty coffee shop that originated in Kyoto. Drip & Drop Coffee Supply has a handful of branches in Kyoto, the latest being Teramachi Branch.
Inside, the space is shared with 2 more shops, Bighand Bros. Beer and Bakkutteh. The place features several regular tables and bar seats for dine-in customers.
Drip & Drop Coffee Supply has limited selection of coffee, espresso and a few beverages. The menu is simple, emphasizing on the quality and flavor of the beans and brewing methods used.
We ordered two drinks during our visit. Iced Americano, which has a strong yet smooth flavor without bitterness, was refreshing and I really enjoyed it.
The second drink was the Matcha Latte, one of their best-sellers.
After the caffeine kicked, we resumed our tour of Downtown Kyoto,
Recommendation: Of course their coffee.
Tips: Drip & Drop Coffee Supply offers free drinks to children.
