It was already dinner time and we are still exploring the streets of Susukino in Sapporo. We noticed that there’s a short queue at MyCurry Shokudo / Tonkatsu Matsunoya. Since we were already hungry, we decided to try this restaurant.
Both MyCurry Shokudo and Tonkatsu Matsunoya are under one restaurant chain in Japan. Tonkatsu Matsunoya is a fast food restaurant known for their affordable Tonkatsu meals. Aside from other prefecture, Tonkatsu Matsunoya has multiple branches in Sapporo.
As soon as you enter the restaurant’s main door, you need to place your orders via their vending machine. Since we already had a curry meal at Curry Club Ono earlier, we decided to order the assorted Tonkatsu meal set and tried the Chicken fillet and 2 fried shrimp set meal. All tonkatsu meal sets comes with shredded cabbage, miso soup and rice.
What I like about Tonkatsu Matsunoya, even if it has a fast-food setting, is that they are serving quality dishes in large portions.
Recommendation: Haven’t tried it but one of the recommended dish is Domestic loin cutlet grown in snowy country & fried large shrimp with head (2 pieces) set meal.
