After our day tour in Osaka, we found ourselves hungry and eager to try another signature dish of Osaka - Takoyaki. A Japanese snack made from wheat flour batter with pieces of octopus inside.

There are plenty of Takoyaki stalls to choose from in Dotonbori, but we opted to try Honke Ootako because it is just beside our hotel, Hotel Forza Osaka Namba. Little did we know that Honke Ootako is the oldest Takoyaki stall in Dotonbori.

For our Honke Ooktako experience, we’ve tried their Takoyaki since it is their specialty. We ordered their base set which is a 6-pieces Takoyaki, priced at 500.00 Yen.

For better experience, Honke Ootako provides a dine-in option at the back of their stall. You can also enjoy other Japanese dishes such as Okonomiyaki, Kushikatsu, and more.
