Matsusaka Beef ranks among the top 3 beef brands in Japan. Matsusaka Beef are Japanese black cattle raised in Matsusaka area in Mie Prefecture. Only virgin female calves are chosen, and they are monitored and cared for to achieve the lowest melting point of fat. These cattle are beer fed and receive a regular massages, resulting to the special marbling of the meat of Matsusaka Beef. Knowing this, we made sure to include a Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M dining experience during our visit to Japan.

Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M features 2 Matsusaka Beef courses: Platinum Full Course “Motenashi” and Premium Full Course “Kagayaki”. The difference was that Motenashi” includes a special steak of the day. The one we’ve tried was the Kagayaki which cost 10,780 yen with tax per person.
